JENA NELSON EARNS ENDORSEMENT FROM HER BOLD MOVE, NATION’S FASTEST-GROWING NETWORK FOR WOMEN IN POLITICS

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (June 11, 2026) – CD-5 Congressional Candidate Jena Nelson has earned the endorsement of Her Bold Move, the fastest-growing national support network for women running for political office in America.

Her Bold Move candidates have won 88% of their races since December 2024.

“I’m honored to have the endorsement of Her Bold Move,” Nelson said. “An organization that knows bold, progressive, women-first leadership in government isn’t optional – it’s essential. Women are more profoundly impacted by poverty, by violence, by workforce discrimination and by lack of healthcare access.”

“It’s time to send more women to Congress to fight for women’s rights. I’m proud to stand alongside Her Bold Move in the work of expanding representation, protecting women’s rights and building a government that reflects the people it serves. I’m ready to fight and I’m ready to win.”

Jordan Zaslow, Founder and Executive Director of Her Bold Move, said the organization sees Nelson as exactly the kind of leader Oklahoma needs.

“Oklahoma is consistently ranked among the worst states in the country to be a woman — and that will not change until Oklahoma women have leaders who understand their lives, fight for their safety, and put their futures first,” Zaslow said. “Jena Nelson is exactly the kind of leader Oklahoma needs in Congress. As a nonprofit leader, small business owner, mother, and lifelong advocate for her community, Jena knows how to bring people together, solve real problems, and fight for families who have been left behind. If Oklahoma wants better outcomes for women, it needs more women like Jena at the table – and in Congress. Her Bold Move is very proud to endorse her.”

Nelson is the 2020 Oklahoma Teacher of the Year, served as Executive Director of the Oklahoma Faith Network, a mother of two and a small business owner. She is the only Democrat to have received more votes than a Republican opponent in the gerrymandered CD-5.
